Tourist Schengen Visa

A Tourist Schengen Visa allows third-country nationals to travel or visit Europe for up to 90 days within six months for leisure.

Foreign citizens willing to travel to Europe for tourism purposes may be required to apply for a short-term tourist visa under the “tourist” specification.

Documents required for Schengen Visa

Visa Application Form must be comprehensive, filled with all the correct information, printed, and signed with the utmost care.

  • Two recent photos within the last three months were taken in compliance with the Schengen visa photo criteria.
  • A valid passport It must not be older than ten years, with at least three months remaining beyond your planned stay in Schengen, and have at least two blank pages to be able to affix the visa sticker.
  • Reservation or itinerary (travel document) A document that includes dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from the Schengen area. Find out how to get a flight reservation for a tourist visa application.
  • Travel Insurance Documentation Documentation that you have purchased travel insurance that covers medical emergencies with a minimum of €30,000, for your whole period of stay. The insurance policy documentation can easily be purchased online from AXA Schengen or Europe Assistance.
  • Proof of accommodation This could be a hotel/hostel(s) booking, with their name, complete address, phone, and email, for the entire time you will be in the Schengen area.
  • Travel organizer letter If you will be traveling with a travel agency.
  • Proof of financial means Proof of sufficient funds to support yourself throughout your stay in the Schengen area. This could be a bank account statement.
  • Sponsorship Letter When another person will be financially supporting your trip to the Schengen Zone. It is also sometimes known as an Affidavit of Support

The following evidence is required if you are employed

  • Employment Contract
  • Leave Permission From The Employer
  • Income Tax Return

If You Are Self-employed

  • Business License
  • Bank Statement Of The Latest 6 Months
  • Income Tax Return

In The Event A Student : Has A Student Record, And Has Written Permission

  • Travel Itinerary : A detailed description of your trip to Europe, including your purpose of travel, the places you will visit in Europe, the time frame, and all of your data.
  • For Minors : Either proof of parental relationship (birth certificate, proof of adoption, custody decree) OR parents’ passport copies/death certificate of parent For Adults: One photo ID and the second form of identification (passport, government-issued photo ID)

Business Visa Documentation

  • Form DS-160 confirmation page and code.
  • A valid passport is required
  • Details of your social media presence.
  • Proof of interview confirmation.
  • US visa requirements confirmation.
  • Statement Letter explaining the purpose of your trip.
  • Proof in the form of a bank statement proving that you have enough funds to stay in the US.
  • Evidence of ties to your home country such as family, job contract,
  • lease, or property deed to prove you will go back to some documents r
  • elevant to your prior visits to the US.
  • Statement from your employer and pay slips for the last three months.
  • Written communication from your company with details on the purpose of your trip and your job position.

Application Process

  • Schedule the transit visa interview at your local US embassy or consulate.
